- The Nature and Scope of The U.S. Health Care System
- The Business and Operations of the Health Care Insurance System
- Prevention, Identification and Detection of FWA
- Investigative, Resolution and Reporting Process
- This course should serve as a “refresher” for more seasoned investigators.
- You do not need to be accepted to take the AHFI® Exam in order to participate in the Prep Course.
- The sessions were not designed to be shared or streamed with others.
- Each participant must be registered to attend in order to receive credit.

Registration closes at 4:00 pm ET on June 24, 2024.
Cancellation/Substitution
- All written notice of cancellations and substitutions should be sent via email to training@nhcaa.org.
- Cancellations received by June 21 will be processed with a $50 administrative fee.
- No refund will be provided for cancellations received after June 21, but a credit for future training is available upon request.
- All substitutions processed after June 21 will be charged a $50 administrative fee.

Details & FAQ
The AHFI® Prep Course consists of six on demand sessions that will be accessed through NHCAA Learn. You will have access to the program content (videos and handouts) from July 1 until July 31.
Session videos require minimum watch times, so you will need to set aside approximately 6.5 hours to complete the program. View the sessions at your own pace and as many times as you’d like during the month.
To earn credit, participants need to watch each session and submit the program evaluation by July 31.

- Health Care Fraud Schemes.
- Anatomy of an Investigation.
Participants will earn six (6) Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours which are applicable to the training requirements for the Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI®) designation. Only those who are registered to attend and watch each available session will be eligible to receive credit. No partial credit will be awarded.
