Boot Camp for the Health Care Fraud Investigator
NHCAA’s Boot Camp is a three-day training program that anchors the path to becoming an AHFI® and shows participants the skills necessary to become a successful investigator or analyst within any health care anti-fraud organization. In 2024, it will be held in-person in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Designed for career switchers, inter-departmental transfers, or new college graduates with less than three years of experience in health care fraud, this program will help your newest team members acquire an understanding of the core competencies necessary to combat health care fraud. Expert faculty lays the foundation for investigative strategy, recognizing fraud schemes, and deploying investigative skills.
Participants will return to their teams with new knowledge and be able to:
- Explain common health care fraud schemes.
- Implement basic investigative strategies to enhance fraud detection and investigation.
- Identify the steps in an investigative plan.
- Identify common data analytic strategies to investigate a case.
- Evaluate cases for merit.
- Detect potential red flags in medical and billing records.
- Identify appropriate resources to assist in fraud detection and investigation.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to invest in building your team’s skills!
