Join the Senior Medicare Patrol
The Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) is a grassroots network of volunteers who work to educate seniors and other Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries on how to protect, detect, and report health care fraud. NHCAA's own John Morris, a founding member of NHCAA, the 2003 Chairperson of the NHCAA Board of Directors, and recent faculty at NHCAA's 2011 Annual Training Conference, volunteers in Gainesville assisting seniors who have questions about Medicare benefits. John travels to senior centers to give presentations on how to identify health care fraud, based on his distinguished career experience as a prosecutor, director of the Florida Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and director of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida special investigative unit. Retired since 2006, John's passion for preventing health care fraud is undiminished.
