Our Award Programs

NHCAA offers three distinguish awards that honor the very essence of effective health care fraud investigation and its impact on fraud deterrence and prevention. Award winners are honored during a special luncheon and awards ceremony at the NHCAA Institute Annual Training Conference.

To be eligible for an NHCAA award, nominees must be employed by an NHCAA Member Organization or an NHCAA Law Enforcement Liaisons. For more information, please contact us at NHCAA Awards, 1201 New York Avenue, NW, Ste 1120, Washington, DC 20005 or via e-mail at award@nhcaa.org.

Investigation of the Year Award

It is the practice of the Association to present during The NHCAA Institute’s Annual Training Conference an annual NHCAA Investigation of the Year Award selected by the NHCAA Awards Committee following an open nominations and judging process coordinated by the NHCAA Director of Investigation Support. Due to the complexity of health care fraud investigations, a multi-organization investigative effort normally is required for a successful resolution and, therefore, it is more appropriate to recognize this multi-organization approach. Each organization having a significant role in the investigation receives a plaque. In addition, an Honorable Mention Award is presented to each participating organization for the next highest-rated investigation. NHCAA offers a full complimentary conference registration to each individual involved in the investigations.
