In this burgeoning area, faculty describes how to find fraud in several areas of both laboratory and diagnostic services. Participants will learn how to find red flags for fraud in data, medical records, and through interviews. Schemes discussed include: food allergy testing (ALCAT), genetic testing screening issues, urine drug screen, nerve conduction studies, exotic billings, and cardiac diagnostic tests.

Faculty will identify a wide range of schemes and concerns with durable medical equipment. Understand how schemes work in both private insurance and Medicare, what red flags to look for in data, medical records, and interviews, and the best investigative techniques to use in these cases. Some of the types of DME fraud discussed will include: compression stockings, O2 concentrator, TENS, diabetic supplies, hot & cold water circulator units.

Substitution & Cancellation Policy

Registration, Substitution, Cancellation, and Deadline for Participant Roster: Tuesday, May 27. NHCAA accepts registrations after this date; however, NHCAA may not be able to include your contact information in the participant roster or have a certificate of completion on-site for you.

Cancellation

To cancel and obtain a full refund, minus a $75.00 administrative fee, you must provide WRITTEN NOTICE OF CANCELLATION to The NHCAA Institute by the Registration, Substitution and Cancellation Cut-off Date (see above). If you cancel in writing after that date, no refund will be provided. To cancel please email the Manager, Education & Training Services, at training@nhcaa.org or mail the NHCAA Institute - NETS at 1201 New York Ave., NW Suite 1120, Washington, DC 20005.

Substitution
